Explore the potential to open up the existing kitchen by removing the structural wall between kitchen and dining room. Create a laundry/mud room with separate powder room. Keep the existing hardwood floor and use the left over hardwood on site to feather in repairs in renovated areas.   

Services

Riverview is a beautiful mature community in Cochrane nestled against the bow river. This home that backs onto the golf course was a perfect fit for this young family as they imagined raising their family in the home. The major focus of the renovation work was the mud room, kitchen and dining area while also giving some focus to updating the finishes in the master ensuite. The new layout saw the removal of the structural wall separating the formal dining room from the living room.

The bathroom/shared laundry was separated to create an inviting mud room/laundry off the garage and separate powder room off the kitchen. Removing the structural wall was the key, using a flush steel beam allowed for HVAC and plumbing to still pass without the need for bulkheads in the kitchen ceiling. The results were stunning, creating a beautiful bright large open concept kitchen with ample storage to support their family needs. Like Chez Soi, the clients were invested with sweat equity and Align was able to support their investment of time in an organized fashion to help the project stay on budget and on time.
